I used the Wilton 3D teddy bear pan. I just carved off the arms in front and piped on new ones where I wanted them :-)

Hello!!

I love this cake! I was wondering if you used a cake pan and if so what it is called so I can find it or if you carved it...I have been looking on line and can only find one with the paws in front of the bear's face. I am going to make the cake for my nephew's 1st bday and his mom loved this cake! It will be outside in Alabama so it'll be pretty warm, I'm a little concerned with it holding up, but we will see!
Thanks for your help :0

It was awhile ago, but I think that I didn't have to carve much of the face off and I just piped on the snout with a large round tip and medium stiff buttercream and then smoothed it out a little before piping the stars. But you could probably use some marshmallows secured with toothpicks (carve with scissors if needed)and pipe over that. Good luck!

Hi Genie,
Thanks for the compliments. Just had a baby, so don't have much time to do cakes right now....

Hi Dani,
I love all your cakes they are fabulous!!! I do have a question about your Nisha-saurous cake for her 5th birthday. How did you add to the mouth of the bear to make the dinasaures mouth stand out? I was going to try to make this cake for a friend and I like the way you have added to the origianl bear.

Thanks so much in advance if you can give me any suggestions and keep up the good work.

Hi there, this is such a stunning Barney. I was working with the 3D bear tin this weekend to make Winnie the pooh and special agent Oso and was wondering if i'd be able to make a Barney too. Now i've seen yours it's more than possible - it's just his head i'm worried about - you say it's mostly made out of buttercream? Wow.

It's a really awesome cake. Well done!

Thank you so much for making such a special cake for us. It tasted even better than it looked! Sam and I could not have been happier with the results. Thank you to everyone who helped, and thanks to Dani, who designed and baked an original work of art just for us!

Looove the cakes made by you.
I am also looking for a multi tier garden girl cake - http://www.partycity.com/product/garden+girl+party+supplies.do?sortby=ourPicks&size=all&from=Search

I would like my cake different from this one though.
Please let me know if you have any ideas, pricing.

hi there! This is an amazing cake as well as an incredible website! I'm sure you hear it all the time, but I just wanted to let you know again, that I think it's awesome.

I have a fundraiser to make a cake for, it's a dance company and I thought it was very interesting that I am also trained in architecture and love food. This is my very first fondant cake though, and upon doing extensive research on how to make it and how creative I can be with it, I'm so glad I came across your website to see all the possibilities for this cake!

Thank you very much for sharing your beautiful, insanely detailed, creatively constructed cakes.

If you want to take a look at the final product, feel free to check up on my blog at kayeoneats.blogspot.com probably in the next week or two to see how I did!

Thanks again,
